    7. Google Calendar & Google Meet Integration

WiseSender provides an optional Google Calendar and Google Meet integration to help businesses schedule and manage online appointments.

This integration is entirely optional and is enabled only after a user explicitly authorizes WiseSender through Google’s OAuth 2.0 authorization process.

Without your authorization, WiseSender cannot access your Google Calendar.

7.1 Google User Data We Access

When you connect your Google Account, WiseSender may access the following Google user data:

    • Your Google account email address.
    • Google Calendar events required to manage appointments created through WiseSender.
    • Google Calendar event identifiers.
    • Google Meet meeting links generated for appointments.
    • The user-selected Google Calendar. If no specific calendar has been configured by the user, WiseSender uses the user’s primary Google Calendar to create and manage appointment events.

WiseSender requests only the minimum Google API permissions necessary to provide appointment scheduling and Google Meet functionality.

At the time of writing, WiseSender requests the following Google OAuth scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events

This permission allows WiseSender to create, update, retrieve, and delete calendar events on your behalf after you have granted authorization.

WiseSender does not request full access to your Google Account.

7.2 How We Use Google User Data

Google Calendar information is used solely to provide appointment scheduling features requested by the authenticated user.

    Examples include:

    • Creating Google Calendar events.
    • Updating appointment details.
    • Cancelling appointments.
    • Retrieving appointment information associated with WiseSender bookings.
    • Automatically generating Google Meet links for online appointments.
    • Synchronizing appointment status between WiseSender and Google Calendar.

WiseSender does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or analytics unrelated to appointment management.

    7.3 Google Meet Link Generation

When an online appointment is scheduled using WiseSender, Google Calendar may generate a Google Meet meeting link.

    The generated meeting link is:

    • Associated with the corresponding appointment.
    • Stored securely with the appointment record.
    • Reused for future updates to the same appointment.
    • Shared only with participants of the appointment through WiseSender features (such as WhatsApp notifications or appointment confirmations).

WiseSender does not generate additional meeting links unless a new appointment requires one.

    7.4 Google OAuth Credentials

To maintain your Google Calendar connection, WiseSender securely stores only the minimum information required for authentication.

    This may include:

    • Connected Google account email address.
    • Google OAuth refresh token.
    • Connection status.
    • Selected calendar identifier (when applicable).

WiseSender does not permanently store Google OAuth access tokens.

Instead, whenever WiseSender needs to communicate with Google Calendar, a short-lived access token is securely obtained from Google using the stored refresh token.

The temporary access token is used only for the requested operation and is not permanently stored in our database.

    7.5 Revoked Access

If Google indicates that authorization has been revoked, expired, or is no longer valid, WiseSender automatically:

    • Stops communicating with Google Calendar.
    • Marks the Google Calendar connection as disconnected.
    • Prevents additional synchronization until the user reconnects their Google account.

This behavior helps ensure that WiseSender never attempts to access Google services without a valid authorization.

    7.6 Minimum Permissions

WiseSender follows Google’s principle of least privilege.

We request only the permissions that are necessary to provide the functionality requested by the user.

We regularly review our requested permissions and remove unnecessary access whenever possible.

    8. Google API Services User Data

WiseSender uses Google user data exclusively to provide the features requested by the authenticated user.

Google user data is never accessed unless the user has explicitly granted permission through Google’s OAuth authorization process.

Google Calendar information is processed only for:

    • Appointment scheduling.
    • Appointment updates.
    • Appointment cancellation.
    • Google Meet link generation.
    • Synchronization between WiseSender and Google Calendar.

Google user data is never used for:

    • Advertising.
    • User profiling.
    • Behavioral analytics.
    • Marketing campaigns.
    • Selling user information.
    • Building customer databases unrelated to the requested functionality.

    9. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

WiseSender’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

    Specifically:

    • Google user data is accessed only after explicit user consent.
    • Google user data is used solely to provide the features requested by the authenticated user.
    • Google user data is never sold.
    • Google user data is never used for personalized advertising.
    • Google user data is never shared with unrelated third parties.
    • Google user data is never used to develop generalized user profiles.
    • Google user data is processed only for the functionality authorized by the user.

WiseSender limits access to Google user data to authorized systems and personnel only when necessary to provide the requested services or to comply with legal obligations.

WiseSender’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing features explicitly requested by the authenticated user. WiseSender does not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.

    10. Data We Do Not Access

    WiseSender does not access:

    • Gmail messages.
    • Google Drive files.
    • Google Photos.
    • Google Contacts.
    • Google Docs.
    • Google Sheets.
    • Google Chrome history.
    • Google passwords.
    • Any Google service for which authorization has not been granted.

WiseSender only accesses the Google Calendar information necessary to provide appointment scheduling and online meeting functionality.

    11. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

WiseSender provides optional Artificial Intelligence (AI) features to help businesses automate customer conversations.

These AI features are entirely optional and are available only when enabled by the account owner.

Currently, WiseSender uses OpenAI’s GPT-4o-mini model exclusively for AI-powered chatbot functionality.

    11.1 Purpose of AI Features

WiseSender AI features are designed to assist businesses by:

    • Responding to customer inquiries.
    • Answering frequently asked questions.
    • Providing product or service information.
    • Assisting with customer support conversations.
    • Automating predefined conversational workflows.

The AI chatbot operates only within conversations initiated through WiseSender.

11.2 Google Calendar Data Is Not Used by AI

Google Calendar information obtained through Google APIs is completely separate from WiseSender’s AI features.

WiseSender does not send any Google Calendar information to OpenAI or any other AI service.

This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Google Calendar events.
    • Google Meet links.
    • Google OAuth refresh tokens.
    • Google account email addresses obtained through Google OAuth.
    • Appointment details retrieved from Google Calendar.
    • Google Calendar event identifiers.
    • Google API responses.

These data elements are never processed by AI models.

11.3 No AI Training Using Google User Data

WiseSender does not use Google user data received from Google APIs to:

    • Train artificial intelligence models.
    • Improve generalized machine learning models.
    • Build foundational AI models.
    • Develop large language models.
    • Create datasets for AI training.
    • Improve third-party AI services.

Google user data is never used for machine learning training purposes.

    11.4 OpenAI Usage

WiseSender currently integrates with OpenAI’s GPT-4o-mini model through the OpenAI API.

This integration is used exclusively for AI-powered chatbot responses requested by the authenticated WiseSender customer.

Google Calendar information obtained through Google APIs is not transmitted to OpenAI.

OpenAI does not receive Google Calendar events, Google Meet links, OAuth credentials, or any Google API data solely as a result of connecting a Google Calendar account.

    11.5 Separation of Services

    WiseSender maintains logical separation between:

    Google Calendar Integration
    Google Meet Integration
    WhatsApp Business Platform
    AI Chatbot Services

Each service processes only the information necessary to perform its intended function.

Connecting Google Calendar does not automatically enable AI features.

Likewise, enabling AI features does not grant AI systems access to Google Calendar data.

    11.6 Third-Party AI Providers

At the time of this Privacy Policy, WiseSender integrates with:

    Provider: OpenAI

    Service: GPT-4o-mini

    Purpose: AI chatbot responses only

WiseSender may integrate with additional AI providers in the future. Any such integrations will be reflected in updates to this Privacy Policy before affecting Google user data.

11.7 Google API Services User Data & AI Compliance

WiseSender’s use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

    Specifically:

    • Google user data is not transferred to AI services for model training.
    • Google user data is not used to improve generalized AI models.
    • Google user data is not used for advertising.
    • Google user data is not sold.
    • Google user data is not used to create behavioral profiles.
    • Google user data is processed only to provide the features explicitly requested by the authenticated user.

    12. Third-Party Services

Infrastructure providers may process technical information necessary to securely operate the platform.

    14. Data Security

WiseSender is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer information.

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information and Google user data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or destruction.

WiseSender follows Google’s recommended OAuth security practices.

    For Google Calendar integration:

    • We securely store only the Google OAuth refresh token required to maintain the authorized connection.
    • We store the connected Google account email address, connection status, and selected calendar identifier (if configured).
    • Google OAuth access tokens are not permanently stored in our database.
    • Whenever access to Google Calendar is required, WiseSender requests a new short-lived access token directly from Google’s OAuth service using the stored refresh token.
    • The temporary access token is used only to complete the requested operation and is discarded after use.
    • If Google indicates that authorization has been revoked or the refresh token is no longer valid, WiseSender automatically disconnects the Google Calendar integration and stops accessing Google services until the user reconnects their Google account.

Access to Google integration credentials is restricted to the application components responsible for providing Google Calendar functionality.

    16. Data Retention

WiseSender retains information only for as long as necessary to provide the requested services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain platform security.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information.
